The American dream come true.
uppnå is the embodiment of the American Dream, the realization of the promise of a better life. Starting from scratch, Indian immigrant brothers Jaz, Gurpreet and their sister Sonia worked tirelessly to provide and build a future for their families. The three of them did all kinds of work, including cleaning houses and businesses. But they had a vision of building a business for themselves and others. So they launched their their cleaning company SealX with nothing but dedication and a dream.
Through their relentless determination, drive, hard work, creativity, resilience and initiative, SealX rose from a tiny startup service to increasingly winning large contracts as a preferred cleaning vendor for the University of Washington, various departments of Washington State government and many others.
Now the Singh’s have added residential cleaning services to their portfolio and partnered with other dedicated business leaders to form uppnå. uppnå shares the core values of SealX. Most importantly is the commitment to its people. Team members enjoy living wages, flexible hours and security. In an industry with 400% turnover, SealX has virtually none. Some journeys lead to
unexpected destinations.
Eight years ago, I met Gurpreet Singh when he picked me up in his rickety Toyota Prius.
The next time I ordered an Uber, we were both surprised once again Gurpreet showed up to take me to the airport. At the time it certainly didn’t seem like serendipity, it seemed comfortably convenient, so I asked for Gurpreet’s cell phone number so I could book him directly. Soon after I met his younger brother Jaz who would pick me up when Gurpreet was busy. During rides to and from the airport we learned bits and pieces of each other’s personal histories, including the sacrifices their parents made
to find a better life in America.
During one ride Gurpreet asked me to meet with him and Jaz to learn about a franchise they had recently bought. I thought, here it comes, they are trying to sell me something. But rather than be polite and dismissive, I said, yes. As it turned out they weren’t trying to sell me anything, they were actually looking for a mentor to help them see more clearly how the American dream can be realized, to see that the hard-wired limitations they were born into in their native India were no longer barriers to a new mindset. From there began a journey of mentoring by me, but mostly hard work by them. I introduced them to my business world, including a world class brand designer, CEOs of companies and
strategies to begin and grow their business.
They joke with me that they had to come to America to meet their Swedish American guru. In reality, they have applied their smarts, strong work ethic and Sikh values of honesty, integrity and service to make their American dream uniquely their own. I may have opened the doors closer to the front of the line, but they sprinted to make sure they walked through them. It turned out it was serendipity after all.

Executive Chairman of the Board
Paul Anderson is a nationally acclaimed venture capitalist, real estate developer, business executive, television and radio producer, philanthropist and federal attorney with an unprecedented track record of success. As the CEO and Co-Founder of entertainment industry leader Workhouse Media, he managed over $1 billion in deals with numerous media giants. Paul has served as executive producer for numerous top-rated podcasts, overseeing thousands of episodes downloaded over one billion times.
In his extremely limited free time, Paul serves as a Trustee of the Palm Springs Museum of Art.

As a Co-Founder of SealX, Jaz is a driving force in the staggering growth of SealX from a tiny startup to one of the leading cleaning services in the Pacific Northwest. His insatiable drive, work ethic, ingenuity, positivity and dedication to customer service helped land and retain multi-year cleaning contracts with some of the largest government and private sector entities across the region including the state of Washington. Jaz has built a reputation for fostering lasting relationships with customers and employees alike.
Jaz loves singing, dancing and trying new food. He is dedicated to helping others, and seeing them be successful.

Nick Panella is a noted pioneer, executive and entrepreneur in digital media. Nick’s vision, strategic acumen, management, negotiation and analytic skills led to the creation, launch, and overwhelming success of some of the most successful podcasts and other entertainment ventures over the last decade.
Nick previously served in a number of high profile executive roles including Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Audio where he worked with an impressive roster, including industry luminaries such as Shonda Rhimes, Dan Patrick, Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Bob Saget, and The Try Guys.
Nick launched and built Workhouse Media's podcast division, amassing over a billion downloads and orchestrating podcast deals surpassing nine figures—including the highest price paid per episode and one of the largest multi-show deals in the space. He is one of the most coveted agents, managers, producers, and strategists in podcasting, radio, and digital.
Nick is also a classically trained pianist and a black belt in Hapkido (martial arts discipline).

As a co-founder of SealX, Gurpreet has managed the operations of the ever-growing enterprise for the last 8+ years, building out and overseeing all aspects of SealX’s service offerings. Gurpreet likes to get his hands dirty. He’s worked directly on site at the company’s diverse portfolio of customer properties, constantly improving and innovating SealX’s innovative, eco-friendly and industry-leading services and products. Gurpreet is known by customers and staff as an inspiring, beloved, leader and humble servant.

Sonia co-founded SealX along with her brothers Jaz and Gurpreet in 2018. Her expertise and passion combines a deep background and knowledge of technology and business. Sonia has been a leader in the financial and service operations of SealX, utilizing her unique skills, drive and entrepreneurial spirit to develop and implement innovative and successful business practices, cleaning processes and equipment. She is a driving force in the company’s industry-leading employee care, directly leading to the retention of a dedicated, happy and highly motivated staff of professionals that has seen almost no turnover since the company’s founding.
Sonia is passionate about helping others, cooking, and solving puzzles.
